Awana

Awana gets it's name from "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed", the verse taken from II Timothy 2:15.  The mission of Awana is to help parents to teach children to know, love, and serve Christ.  Awana was begun in 1941 and has been a leader in Children's Ministry for nearly 60 years.  Our Awana Club meets on Wednesdays nights, 6:00 - 7:30, during the months of September through May. A.W.A.N.A Page

Nursery Ministry

Our nursery is for our little ones beginning at infants through 3 year olds.

Children’s Church

We have a children's church that meets Sunday mornings during the worship service.  It is for 4 year olds through 2nd grade.  Children leave the worship center as a group after the morning offering and go to "children's church".  There they will sing and hear a Bible story that is geared for their age level.

 Worship Ministry

Celebration Choir

The Celebration Choir helps to lead in praise and worship each Sunday.  It is not a performance based choir, but rather a "worship leading choir".  Our desire is to applaud our Lord and draw attention to Him as we meet for our times of worship.  This choir is open to anyone who loves to sing.  No audition is necessary and we rehearse on Sunday nights from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.

Celebration Praise Singers

This group of individuals help to lead in worship during our Celebration services.  Generally, members of this group are selected by the worship leader out of the choir.  We rehearse at 9:10 am each Sunday morning.

Celebration Praise Band

The Celebration Praise Band consists of talented instrumentalists that play for our Celebration service.  We currently utilize a piano, keyboard, drums, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, trumpets, saxophones, and a percussionist.  This group rehearses at 9:10 am each Sunday morning.  If you play an instrument and would like to participate, please contact the worship pastor.

The Singin' Saintz

The Singin' Saints consists of about 45 senior adults that love to fellowship and have a great time!  Fellowship and encouragement in the Lord is the focus of this group.  They meet each Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:00 am during the months of August - May.  Singing opportunities for this choir include singing on occasions during our Celebration and Sunday evening services.  Also, "The Saintz'" sing at other churches in the area, senior adult events, as well as a Senior Adult Choir Festival each spring.

The Singin' Saintz have alot of fun.  A good singing voice is not required!  A focus on fellowship and encouragement in the Lord brings us together as we make a "Joyful" noise to our King of Kings.  If you are at least 55 years old, you may join this group each Tuesday morning from 9:30 am - 11:00 am in the choir room.  We meet during the months of August through May.

Night in Bethlehem

NIB started at West Lake Christmas 2013 and continues on...

We add to it each year and have a very large number of church members involved. It literally takes all of us to make it happen.

NiB is a 3 day Bethlehem reenactment announcing the "True Meaning of Christmas". Our desire is to honor God by depicting the Birth of His Son Jesus into the world.

Indoor and Outdoor displays are presented each evening during the Display and All are invited to participate!
