You Can Pray for Your Family! Pt. 2

Posted 6/24/2018

Sunday Morning Service by Pastor Lee Evans

You Can Pray for
 Your Family!

Matthew 6:9-13

  9)  In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10)  Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11)  Give us this day our daily bread. 12)  And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13)  And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

  Pray for your Family Members

1)To have a RELATIONSHIP with God
2)To live a life of WORSHIP of God
3)To live under the LORDSHIP of Christ

4) “Give us this day our daily bread…” - Stewardship!

•We have daily Needs  (Matt. 6:19-34)
•We have a Heavenly Father who is Able & Willing to meet them!  (Deut. 8:18; Psalm 50:10-12; James 1:17;  Psa. 23)
•We are not Owners; we are Managers for God.  (1 Cor. 4:2; 1 Peter 4:10; Matt. 25:14-30)

How does Stuff Affect Us?

•Money is the number 1 issue married couples argue about & #1 cause for divorce!
•For couples married less than 5 years 86% entered marriage in debt.

  $30,000 – Credit Cards

  $35,000 – Student Loans

  $500 a month car payment

It is TIME for Us to...

PRAY about our Daily NEEDS,
To Better MANAGE what God has Given Us!

5)  “Forgive us our debts as we forgive…” – Fellowship

·Debts are obligations we owe to God & Men  (James 4:17; 1 John 5:17; Rom. 13:8; Eph. 5:17-6:9; 1 Cor. 7:1-5)
·God’s children sin.  Sin affects our Fellowship with God. (1 John 1:9)
·Because we are Forgiven by God (Eph. 1:7), we Forgive those who sin against us (Matt. 6:12,14, 15; Eph. 4:32.
